Cheap power!

That got your attention, didn't it?

Imagine the perfect power upgrade.  No decrease in fuel economy.  No increase in sound.  Invisible.  Lightweight.  Completely reversible.  Even cheap.  Well, try this.

A piece of dryer venting, of all things.  It runs from the vent in the front air dam, feeding off a supply of high pressure air.  Over the lower A-arm.  Up into the engine bay, to exit right by the intake.  It feeds ambient air to a hot part of the engine bay, allowing your intake to suck up high-density oxygen for better combustion.  Since it's not attached directly to the intake, there's no increase in the length of the tubing to mess up the resonances engineered into the stock setup.  It's rather hard to get good photos, but I've tried.

How much effect does this have?  Well, I had to remove the setup when I installed my Jackson Racing header.  The car felt the same as it had before the installation.  Thus, this bit of cheap dryer tubing is equivalent to a $450 header.  Once I wrapped the header in insulation, I was able to re-install the tubing.  Wow!

The K&N Filtercharger cone filter is handicapped by the heat of the engine bay even more than the stock setup.  I feel this should be a required addition.
